The first of seven homes new or renovated by John Senhauser Architects on Fort View Place in the Mount Adams neighborhood, this project took an existing two apartment flat and converted it into a single-family home. The insertion of a central stair volume connects the previously discrete spaces while the addition of a new third story provides a master bedroom and bath. A curved terrace extends off of the living room and is joined to the roof terrace above by a complementary spiral stair.
