John Senhauser, FAIA
OWNER & PRINCIPAL
John C. Senhauser, FAIA, founder of John Senhauser Architects, was born in New Philadelphia, Ohio. He earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree in 1971 from University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning and started his own practice in 1979. During 40 years of practice, both architects and builders have chosen to honor John Senhauser Architects with more than 80 design awards including the 1999 AIA Ohio Gold Medal Firm Award. John was named a Fellow of The American Institute of Architects (AIA) in 1995 and received the 2009 AIA Ohio Gold Medal.
Linking practice with education, professional, and community service, John is a former Adjunct Associate Professor of Design at the University of Cincinnati. He has served as President of both AIA Ohio and AIA Cincinnati, Regional Director for the Ohio Valley Region, and Institute Secretary for the National AIA.
John served as the Director of the National Architectural Accreditation Board (NAAB) from 2007 to 2010. He is a former Chair of the City of Cincinnati’s Historic Conservation Board and Ohio’s Residential Construction Advisory Committee. John is currently a member of the City’s Urban Design Review Board and the University of Cincinnati’s Design Review Committee.
Ashley Hong, AIA, NCARB
PROJECT MANAGER
Ashley joined John Senhauser Architects in 2015 and brings strong experience as a designer and project manager for high-end residential, hospitality, and cultural projects. Prior to joining the firm she worked in New York City for several highly-regarded design offices including Morris Adjmi Architects, Clodagh Design, and Rockwell Group.
She studied Mechanical Engineering at the Ohio State University before transferring to the University of Cincinnati where she earned a dual bachelor degree in both Architecture and Interior Design. Her studies also included a semester at the Danish Institute for Study in Copenhagen, Denmark. She received professional licensure for the state of New York in 2017 and has since gained reciprocity in Ohio and Kentucky. Ashley serves as co-chair for the Custom Residential Architects Network (CRAN) and is an active member of the Women in Architecture group.
Victoria Wanstrath, RA
ARCHITECT
Victoria joined John Senhauser Architects in 2022 as an architectural designer after graduating with her Master of Architecture from the University of Cincinnati. Prior to joining the firm she worked as an intern for Weiss/Manfredi Architects in New York, Kohn Pederson Fox in New York, and Michael McInturf Architects in Cincinnati.
In addition to her Master of Architecture degree, Victoria has a Bachelor of Science in Architecture, with a minor in English, from the University of Cincinnati's school of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP.) Victoria completed her Architecture Registration Exams (AREs) and received her professional licensure in the state of Ohio in June of 2024.
